Hi! My name is Nico(letta). I am a Adjunct Professor of Linguistics at UCLA.
I got my PhD from
the UCLA linguistics department
with a dissertation on superlative phrases in Romance languages.
Main research interests:
syntax/semantics interface
degree constructions, predicative structures, relative clauses.
Current research:
Connectivity in specificational copular sentences
The composition of modal superlatives in English and Romance
DP-internal vs. sentential predication
Past work:
Copular constructions across languages.
Interaction between so-called "Individual-Level predicates" and past tense.
perception verbs taking infinitival clauses or pseudorelative complements in Romance languages.
